Human Rights Watch just released a damming report on the condition of domestic workers in Saudi Arabia. I hope Saudi Arabia takes this opportunity to make some serious changes to end the shameful state of affairs that results in massive mistreatment in the country. I would also venture to stress that, while Saudi Arabia may be the worst offender in this regard, many other MENA countries are equally guilty of neglecting the rights of foreign workers, especially those working in homes. This has to change.
