I just found out that some guy named Robert Satloff has a program on Al-Hurra TV. Al-Hurra being an Arabic-language TV, Satloff actually does his program in Arabic, a language it seems he has barely mastered. No really, the guy thinks he can get away with reading like a ten year old from a teleprompter? [...]

Broadcasting ignorance!

A fair share of the Arab airwaves today are dominated by quacks and pseudo-scientists selling their bogus theories on a whole host of things. What a joke the BBC is. In an article about the recent dismissal by Israeli authorities of the case against police officers who killed 13 protesters, the BBC online says:

In reality they are only identifying those middle class characteristics found across the globe in this globalized world. [...]
Yellow journalism

Welcome to the brave new world of yellow journalism of the 21st century. Reading the caption on Al-Akhbar’s web site on a picture from the tragic accident that took the lives of a Lebanese family yesterday you would think Lebanon has suffered another invasion. The newspaper even describes the family as “fuel for another mass [...]

In this blog I plan to write about why and how I think Lebanon’s future is a bright one. We are a resilient nation, though we have many problems. We are also a very determined nation and I think we will eventually find our way out of the crisis we are in. Once out, we [...]
